SafeGard CC-7000
by Sanchem Inc. is a chrome-free, high-performance
cold applied pretreatment
for aluminum. This fast acting, cold applied
pretreatment will turn aluminum to an
identifiable, protective, golden color after just a few
seconds of application.
SafeGard CC-7000 converts the aluminum surface
uniformly, providing corrosion resistance and paint
adhesion performance similar to chromates. It is an
inorganic product that is environmentally safe,
electrically conducting, heat stable and will not
discolor white powder coatings.
SafeGard CC-7000 is
easily applied by brush, dip or spray. Is easily
disposable because it doesn't contain any chromates, iron,
zinc, cyanide, hydrofluoric acid or polymers. Therefore,
it requires little or no treatment prior to discharge.
SafeGard CC-7000
is a RoHS compliant aluminum surface treatment which
was initially used for in service repair
applications involving a small number of parts on a
one-time basis. However, as shown in the photos
above, it has also proven very effective in treating
large structures.
